Dubai February 7, 2012: One of the world's largest international conferences highlighting the interdisciplinary fields of pre-clinical and clinical drug discovery, drug therapy and translational medicine will be held in Dubai from February 12-15, 2012.

The 4th International Conference on Drug Discovery & Therapy (ICDDT), co-hosted by the Higher Colleges of Technology and Eureka Science, will be held at the HCT Dubai Men's College and will highlight international breakthrough developments in drug discovery and on new therapeutics.

The conference is under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Chancellor, Higher Colleges of Technology who will inaugurate it with the opening address.

The event will be attended by some of the world's leading pharmaceutical scientists, clinical researchers, internists and academics to discuss the latest advances in the interdisciplinary fields of drug discovery, therapeutic research and translational medicine.

Six Nobel Laureates and other eminent scientists will attend the conference, including Prof. Mario Molina (USA), Prof. Hartmut Michel (Germany), Prof. Harald zur Hausen (Germany), Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn (France), Prof. Robert Huber (Germany), Prof. Ferid Murad (USA), and Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman (Pakistan).

The conference will present 500 scientific talks in 36 thematic sessions, along with poster presentations and an associated commercial exhibition.   A range of major therapeutic fields will be covered including anti-cancer discovery and therapy; advances in diabetes and obesity treatment; cardiovascular medicines; HIV research; natural products; nanotechnology; pharmaceutical biotechnology; medical imaging breakthroughs; regenerative medicines; patient treatment and care and women's health.

Conference delegates will experience the exchange of ideas amongst leading pharmaceutical scientists, clinicians and internists and see top international scientists and clinicians presenting the cutting-edge discoveries, research and new therapeutic drugs, as well as future pharmaceutical opportunities in growing markets such as the Middle-East and Asia.
