In order to improve the managerial skills for production management and quality control practices

In the last quarter of 2015, GOIC's Training and Capacity Development Program (TCD) will deliver a series of training workshops to develop human capacities and professional skills of individuals working in the industrial sector. In parallel, the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) will put the finishing touches to the 2016 training schedule, hence continuing to support the industrial sectors and economies of GCC countries.

In this regard, GOIC will hold a training in English entitled "Production Management and Quality Control for Industrial SME" at its headquarters in Doha, Qatar from the 12th till the 14th of October 2015. The training will be attended by many production managers, engineers, quality control personnel, production supervisors, production engineers and quality control managers from various private and public sector institutions in the GCC.

GOIC Secretary General Mr. Abdulaziz Bin Hamad Al-Ageel stated: "The main objective of this training program is to identify ways and means to improve the managerial skills in industrial SME for production management and quality control practices in order to increase profits and/or decrease/eliminate costs or losses in the plants."

Participants will discuss the productivity elements and quality dimensions as well as several cost and waste reduction strategies. Quality control and quality improvement techniques will be reviewed with focus on their relation to productivity. The course delivered by Dr. Basel Shadid will also introduce problem-solving tools and basic statistical concepts, process control and process capability plans, acceptance sampling, and attribute controls.

GOIC offers a number of training workshops to concerned parties according to their specific needs in various fields through the Organization's Training and Capacity Development Program (TCD).
