Dubai, May 15th, 2012 (WAM) -- As a part of various activities to mark World Family Day, observed on May 15th worldwide, a Dubai Municipality team comprising heads of several departments conducted a visit to meet the aged people who are under medical treatment in Dubai Hospital.

The visit comes under the community-based initiatives of DM and intended to send the message of love and care towards old generation who have a great role in framing the world we are in, said officials with DM.

"Our society, and more importantly, our nation is a result of our grandfathers restless efforts. We should acknowledge it and still we need their great wisdom and direction to go far high in advancement" said Khalid Badri, Director, Corporate Marketing and Relations, who was among the delegation.

" Young generation should build up the habit of considering and seeking advice from old ones. Lack of care towards our fathers indeed a symptom of deadly social diseases we are in and it is high time we found remedies for it" added Khalid.

He said Dubai Hospital is highly exemplary in its various work fields to give elders enough care and consideration. He also stated that Dubai Municipality is always enthusiastically willing to join likeminded groups, both government and private, to join hands in missions to support various social groups that need special attention and care.

Abodullah Abdul Rahman, Director, Knowledge Department ,Khaled Shareef Al Awadhy, Director, Food Control Department and Marwan Nasir, Director, DM Director Generals Office also accompanied Khalid Badri on the visit.

Abdul Razaq Al Madany, CEO of Dubai Hospital received the team and explained hospitals special activities in the field of old age care .

Heads and officials with various sections with Dubai Municipality were also took part in the visit.
