AMMAN -- HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Wednesday voiced his support for efforts seeking to develop entrepreneurship in Jordan and its contribution to combating poverty and creating jobs, especially among youth.
During a meeting with a group of young Jordanian entrepreneurs and representatives of several companies supporting entrepreneurial projects, Prince Hussein was briefed on the efforts to promote entrepreneurship in Jordan, a Royal Court statement said.
Speakers at the meeting also highlighted plans to build an effective partnership between the public and the private sectors and set up small- and medium-scale enterprises.
The Crown Prince stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors to provide an environment that facilitates turning innovative ideas into full-fledged projects that guarantee sustainable development.
The meeting came in line with Prince Hussein's commitment to maintaining contact with entrepreneurs, promoting innovative thinking among the youth and helping them translate their ideas into projects on the ground so as to help them serve their local communities, the statement said.
