Comprising representatives from each of its regional markets, Chrysler Group Middle East's Dealer Advertising Association (DAA) has, for more than 15 years now, acted as a key platform to exchange ideas and initiatives to enhance customer service.
Passionate about cars since an early age, newly elected 2011 DAA President Maher Abu-Shaaban, Assistant General Manager, Sales and Marketing at Al Mulla & Behbehani Motor Co. (MBMC), the sole distributor of Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Mopar in Kuwait, has over 25 years experience in the Kuwaiti automotive industry.
"The DAA is a unique body that meets regularly throughout the year to discuss the ways in which we can serve our customers better," said Abu-Shaaban. "We look at every aspect of our customer relationships, from on-going communication through to our sales and service network and marketing initiatives, ultimately seeking ways in which to deliver world-class customer service.
Fluent in Arabic and English, Abu-Shabaan graduated from Jacksonville University, USA in 1985 with a double major in Marketing & Management and has special awards from top training and educational institutions including Harvard Business School. His main areas of focus are Marketing Management, Retail Excellence, Supply Chain Management and International business, well-placing him to have a positive effect on the DAA during his 12 month Presidency.
Abu-Shabaan takes over the DAA Presidency at a highly exciting time for Chrysler Group Middle East. Following the successful introduction of the globally acclaimed 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, many more all-new or substantially refreshed vehicles will make their Middle East debuts this year.
"We're delighted to welcome Maher as our new DAA President and are confident that he will make a positive contribution to our regional operation," said Jack Rodencal, Managing Director of Chrysler Group Middle East. "2011 sees our most aggressive programme of new product launches ever, and customers will soon see new and exciting Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram models totally reinvigorating our showroom offering and setting more new benchmarks within their segments - and all of them will be built with the same maniacal attention to quality that is embedded in the new Jeep Grand Cherokee."
In line with the Chrysler Group's radical new approach towards the quality of the products offered to customers, MBMC has, since its formation in 2006, invested heavily in its sales and service network in order to deliver world-class customer service excellence and add real value to its customer relationships - the central pillars of the company's long-term objectives.
This commitment to network growth and service has seen the company dramatically increase its market share in Kuwait in recent years. "We are determined to consistently set new benchmarks in Kuwait's automotive industry and grow our market share," said Abu-Shaaban. "While we're proud of what we have achieved since MBMC came into existence, we recognise that we have to continually attain the very highest standards of customer satisfaction by investing in new, state-of-the-art systems and facilities and nurturing the best talent available in Kuwait."
