Dubai A team of visiting specialists is performing free heart operations on children with congenital problems, some with rare complications.
More than 230 children have got a new lease of life so far due to this programme which has been initiated by the Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment. The Establishment covers the cost of the operations for expatriates while the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) covers the expenses for Emiratis.
A senior surgeon at Dubai Hospital said the team of visiting doctors from the San Donato Hospital in Milan will be here for two weeks to perform the operations at the hospital.
Presently the DHA team is examining patients who have approached it. Parents can contact Dubai Hospital on 04 219 5000.
