AQABA (Petra) -- Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) Chief Commissioner Mohammad Saqr on Monday announced that the agreement signed with Wahat Company to implement investment project in Aqaba has been cancelled.

At a press conference yesterday, Saqr said ASEZA signed the agreement with Wahat Company in 2008 to implement an investment project at a total cost of JD600 million on a land area of 1,440 donums in Aqaba. Saqr explained that the agreement with the company, owned by Mohammad Rashid, who is known as Khaled Salam, has be cancelled because the company did not comply with the provisions of the agreement.
