GENEVA, July 30, 2008 (AFP) - Libya has resumed deliveries of oil to Switzerland which were cut off last Thursday in a diplomatic row over the arrest of Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi's son, the head of the Swiss Petroleum Association said Wednesday.

"A tanker was loaded with oil yesterday and left Libya for Genoa," Rolf Hartl told AFP. "It is the first tanker to have left Libya since the beginning of the crisis."

Once offloaded, the 80,000 tonnes of crude will be pumped by pipeline to a refinery at Collombey, in western Switzerland, run by Tamoil, which is partly owned by Libya.
