Muscat - The State Council will conduct its seventh and eighth regular sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. The meetings will be held under H E Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council.

The sessions will be held in the presence of members and the Secretary General of the council at the council premises, according to a press release. The council will discuss the Draft Law on Trademark of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, assigned by the Council of Ministers, with the reports of the Economic Committee and Majlis A’Shura.

It will also discuss the Draft Law on Regulation and Protection of Aflaj sites listed on the Unesco World Heritage list referred by the Council of Ministers and the reports of the Committee of Culture, Information and Tourism and the Shura Council on it. The council will also discuss the proposal of the Economic Committee on the study of The development of the capital market and the banking sector.

A proposal to form a special committee to study the topic of ‘Development of a national program of performance and creativity of the government’, will also be discussed.
