ABU DHABI, 16th May, 2017 (WAM) -- The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, ENEC, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council under the Partners in Excellence initiative, to improve the quality of services at social and sports levels.

The MoU is part ENEC's commitment to spread and foster a culture of excellence through the continuous work of the Abu Dhabi government institutions, said Mohamed Al Hammadi, CEO of ENEC.

He added that the corporation puts development of human capital at the heart of its strategy, which is keen to localize knowledge and adopt the best global practices and innovative programmes that will ensure continuity of performance excellence.

"Our partnership with ENEC comes under the constant guidance of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, to promote government partnerships and exchange of experiences, ideas and initiatives between institutions and distinct entities with a view to achieving complementarity and institutional excellence," said Arif Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

The Partners in Excellence initiative is aimed at supporting and enhancing the role of Abu Dhabi Governments institutions in pursuit of Abu Dhabi's vision, to enhance the institutional performance between the parties and the consolidation of the culture of excellence in Abu Dhabi Government.

The initiative is a joint project in which ENEC supports government entities participating in the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance.
