JEDDAH — Careem, the region’s leading chauffeur-driven car booking service, is adding to its fleet 30 cars fitted with baby seats. The specially adapted cars have seats for 1-2 babies and will be driven by the 30 top-tier, best performing Careem Captains who have been trained through a special course on the new car type.

“Careem is the largest chauffeur-driven car service in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and as such we have the resources and commitment to develop and introduce a range of unique options that meet the special needs of various segments of the community, in this case parents who want to be assured their beloved babies are safe and comfortable when travelling by car,” said Dr. Abdulla Elyas, co-founder and managing director of Careem.

“We are continuously expanding and enhancing our fleet by adding innovative new solutions to our services as part of our mission to simplify people’s lives and providing them with safe environment for their travel needs.”

Other specialized services offered by Careem include Careem ONE for people with disabilities, and the recently introduced Careem UNHCR initiative that offers customers the option of supporting refugees by providing an easy way to make donations and help raise awareness of the refugee crisis simply by commuting on a daily basis.

Careem was launched in 2012 and during the last four years the company has witnessed 30%+ growth month-on-month and currently operates in more than 52 cities across the MENA region, Turkey and Pakistan. Since launch Careem has delivered millions of successful rides with tens of thousands of ‘Captains’ (drivers).
