DUBAI: The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, one of the world’s biggest sovereign wealth funds, has hired a new scientist as part of its quantitative research and development team.

The fund appointed Alexander Migdal, a theoretical and computational physicist with more than five decades of academic, investment management, and entrepreneurship experience.

He joins ADIA as one of its global heads leading the research team, which is tasked to use a science-based approach in developing and implementing investment strategies.
