Abu Dhabi: William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana clinched the Atlas Jewellery Presents UAE Exchange Trophy by defeating Nissan Al Masaood by five wickets in the final at the Shaikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Taking the first share of the crease, Nissan Al Masaood crawled to 115 before being bowled out in 19.3 overs with captain and opener Zaheer Baig scoring a run-a-ball 35, which was laced with three boundaries and a six. Jamshed Butt made a run-a-ball 17 with the help of three boundaries while Arshad Iqbal (13), Naveed Khadem (12) and M Usman (10) were the other players to reach double figures.

For William Hare Abu Dhabi Gymkhana, Zeeshan Safeer was the pick of the bowlers with four for 18, while Tariq Khan and Asim Khurshed picked up two wickets each conceding 19 and 27 runs, respectively.

Riding on an unbeaten innings of 32 by Mubeen Mughal, William Hare knocked off the runs and clinched the title with seven balls to spare.

Mughal smashed two boundaries and a six in his 24-ball innings after opener Saqib Shah scored a run-a-ball 28 with the help of five boundaries. M Shafiq with 18 and Asim Khurshed with 10 were other run getters.
