Dubai, UAE: Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world's largest district cooling services provider, announced that it has connected the iconic development ‘One Za’abeel’ to its district cooling network with serving a total of 9,600 refrigeration tons (RT). Empower stated that it has completed the connection process for both the towers of the project using advanced technologies, the Tower B was connected in November 2020 and the connection to the Tower A was completed last month.

The new architectural marvel in Dubai is the latest addition to Empower's district cooling portfolio of extremely diverse clients and it strengthens Empower's global position at the forefront of district cooling providers, and reflects its pursuit towards achieving more goals by expanding the uses of environmentally friendly district cooling.

Centrally located and adjacent to the Dubai World Trade Centre, One Za’abeel is comprised of three key components, namely Towers A & B and ‘The Link’, one of the longest cantilevered structures in the world, which bridges the towers at a height of 100 meters. The project was connected to Empower network under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that was signed in September 2018 by Ithraa Dubai and Empower, to supply ‘One Za’abeel’ with environmentally friendly district cooling services.
