Doha, Qatar : Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, inaugurated a special pavilion to display the products of 6 Qatari projects in cooperation with LuLu Hypermarket, one of the largest retail stores in Qatar. This initiative aims to strengthen the Center's continuous efforts to support entrepreneurs and stimulate growth of their businesses.

In a bid to participate in this initiative, Bedaya Center received a large number of applications on its website. The applicants were filtered and six Qatari projects were selected to be part of this endeavor to display their products from various fields for free for a period of three months at the Lulu Hypermarket. This initiative is intended to offer a great platform for entrepreneurs to display and promote their products to the diverse segments of society formed by the Lulu hypermarket regular customers, which also reflects the quality of these products and their ability to compete in the local markets.

Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Abdulla Faleh Al Saeed - Board Member and General Manager of Bedaya Center, said, “We are thrilled today to exalt the successful partnership with Lulu Hypermarket, one of the largest retail stores in the country. We have previously held multiple collaborative informative workshops tackling the requirements of retail platforms, with the aim of raising awareness among entrepreneurs and owners of SMEs and home businesses about the most important steps that should be considered by those wishing to develop their projects, and to educate them about the necessities for their participation in retail platforms”.

“This partnership is the continuation of Bedaya's efforts in spreading the culture and concept of entrepreneurship and enhancing the role of youth in the society, which falls within the realms of the Center to enrich and enhance their capabilities by channelizing them in the right direction and help them in expanding their customer base and in achieving a wider spread and outreach of their products," he added.

From his side, Director of Lulu Group International, Dr. Mohamed Altaf, said, “We are elated to witness the successful results of the strategic partnership with Bedaya Center, which is in line with our vision of supporting and embracing Qatari startups, small and home businesses by opening new horizons for a large number of entrepreneurs who avail the Center’s support especially when the Qatari products have proven their worth and ability to compete in terms of high quality and premium prices. Today we are witnessing the launch of the first special pavilion to display the products of the participating projects under the umbrella of Bedaya Center. We are confident that this distinguished initiative will be the first step in the joint co-operation with Bedaya aimed at supporting Qatari entrepreneurs and their emerging projects”.
