• The Chamber offers a bundle of smart services for its customers, having transformed 97% of its services to smart services.

Dubai, UAE – The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be launching a partial  ‘Remote Work’ programme tomorrow (Monday, March 16, 2020), as part of the preventive measures undertaken to address the risks of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Taken in coordination with relevant government entities, the measures add to the Chamber’s efforts to ensure the safety of employees and customers, as well as business continuity. The Dubai Chamber has been a trailblazer in implementing smart services, successfully transforming 97% of its core services into smart services. This, in turn, reflects the Chamber’s reputation for professionalism and efficiency in providing services for the business community.

The Chamber sought, as a priority, to ensure daily operations and services run smoothly, avoiding any mishaps that may impede operations. The advanced technologies set to be used by the Chamber’s employees were tested beforehand to flag any potential challenges, and develop solutions to mitigate them.

The Dubai Chamber has completed all logistical and operational preparations, allowing it to begin implementing the plan as of tomorrow. Employees were all trained to use the new technologies, which will ensure efficient communication with customers, as they continue to provide value and quality services for the business community in Dubai.

The Chamber’s smart services include: Certificate of origin service; attestation service; Dubai Chamber membership; business research and intelligence; legal services; issuance of ATA Carnet; Dubai Chamber CSR Label; credit rating; business groups and councils; Dubai Association Centre services and many other services.

The membership services, in particular, include the issuance, renewal, and amendment of membership, while the ATA Carnet services cover the issuance, amendment, and replacement of a lost Carnet. The Certificate of origin service includes issuing, amendment, and requesting an additional certificate. Meanwhile, the legal information service provides legal representation and information.

The business research and intelligence service includes conducting research studies and issuing reports. Meanwhile, the business groups and councils service includes issuing authorisations and renewal permits for councils and business groups, and the attestation service covers ratification of signatures, copies, and stamps.
