To sustain its 16-year partnership with Biman Airlines, Elaf Group has recently renewed their contract and will continues to serve as the official General Sales Agent (GSA) of Biman Airlines in the western region of Saudi Arabia. The celebrations began with Elaf Group and Biman Airlines jointly introducing Biman’s brand new aircraft, the B787 Dreamliner to its valued trade partners at Movenpick Hotel in the holy city of Madinah on 26 October 2019. The aircraft seats 24 passengers in business class and 247 passengers in economy class. Operating on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, in other words four days a week, Biman provides its passengers a convenient option of three direct flights to Dhaka and one to Chittagong with great connections to Kualalumpur, Bangkok, Katmandu and many more.

The achievements demonstrated Biman Airlines and Elaf Group commitment to meet the growing demand of passengers from both countries, according to Ziad Ahmed Bin Mahfouz, Chief Executive Officer of Elaf Group. Bin Mahfouz added that the four times a week schedule will also support the growing number of pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh. The Kingdom continues to experience a remarkable growth in flight and hotel bookings resulting from the government’s decision to ease the visa procedure, which falls in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision of 2030.

Bin Mahfouz added: “All travelers who wish to take advantage of our new flights may call our new offices to book and buy their tickets. Elaf Group serves as Biman’s General Sales Agent (GSA) and oversees marketing, operations and reservations. We reaffirm our commitment to work more closely with Biman Bangladesh Airlines in the efforts to deliver world class services and provide full assistance to visiting pilgrims from Bangladesh”

Both Biman Airlines and Elaf Group marked Monday 28 October 2019 as a significant calendar date, highlighting two major announcements. The first is the graceful presence of Vice President, Majed Kaki at Elaf Travel & Tourism, to inaugurate Biman Airlines Office located on Sultana Business Centre in the holy city of Madinah. The second is Biman Airlines operating its first scheduled flight from Bangladesh to Madinah Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport and back.

The first passenger that landed at Madinah Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz Airport was greeted by officials of Taiba Airport, General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) dignitaries, as well Majed Kaki (Vice President of Elaf Travel & Tourism), Mohammed Abdulrahman (GSA Manager at Elaf Group), Abdullah Ghamdi (Government Relations Manager at Elaf Group), Nasim Ahmed (Biman Regional Manager-Madinah Branch) and Mahbubur Rahman (Biman Station Manager at Madinah Airport).

Elaf Group continues to spread its wings and as a result serves as the official GSA for Greece “Aegean Airlines”, Brunei Darussalam “Royal Brunei Airlines” and Afghanistan “Ariana Afghanistan Airlines”.
