During the GITEX Technology Week 2019, Emirates Authority for standardization & metrology “ESMA” will present three major projects based on technology and AI concepts.

Including the unified platform for the registration of UAV and AV products, and the smart application of the Federal Manaa system. Provides a mechanism for information sharing and control of consumer products in UAE markets.

As well as improvements to the Authority's website, in more creative ways, smart chat service using artificial intelligence technology to interact with customers.

ESMA has enabled its customers through the applications and smart channels that enabled them to submit applications, follow-up, pay fees, and download certificates issued, in accordance with best practices in the user experience, and modern designs, linked with the happiness index of the UAE Prime Minister Office, linked to the e-Dirham and digital identity, And also contains a notification of interactive payment, modern and secure transactions.

The projects presented by ESMA are in line with the strategic objectives of the Authority to encourage innovation and development and continuous interaction with the requirements of the "smart government", which prioritizes the principle of developing and upgrading government services continuously, from the point of government competition towards innovation in the mechanisms and methods of service delivery.

HE Abdulla Abdul Qader Al Maeeni, ESMA Director General, said that GITEX Technology Week is one of the most prominent national and regional platforms where we will showcase the plans and projects in the technical and intelligent sector. We will showcase the most prominent technical experiences that facilitate the work of ESMA partners and achieve the highest rates of happiness for customers.

The smart federal Manaa system, for example, in an endeavor to protect consumers, help government agencies with a strong database on those products.

The Smart Manaa application enables consumers to notify the concerned authorities of the existence of any product that is unsafe to the consumer, or has been withdrawn from the market, in any Emirate, as well as to report accidents resulting from the use of products that do not conform to the UAE standards.

The unified platform for the registration of drones and air vehicles, which is the result of fruitful cooperation between ESMA and the Ministry of Interior with the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Federal Customs Authority and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. He added.

ESMA has prepared the unified platform for the registration, and worked within the Federal Government Working Group to develop the unified electronic platform for the registration of drones and air vehicles, service and commercial purposes, under the name "My Drone".

ESMA presents a project of improvements on the Authority’s website, which provides information and services to individuals and institutions. Compatible with all types of browsers, as well as smart phones.
