Dubai:  Volkswagen Middle East and The Walt Disney Company Middle East have joined forces to bring a touch of magic to the region this summer, in celebration of the release of the thrilling and vibrant live-action remake of Disney’s 1992 animated film, “Aladdin”.

The exciting tale of the charming boy from the streets, Aladdin, the courageous and determined Princess Jasmine, and the Genie who may be the key to their future, is set to land in cinemas across the region from May 23, 2019.

To celebrate the re-imagination of the timeless story, Volkswagen – the renowned people’s brand which launched its first seven-seater SUV, the Teramont, recently to the region – invites all families across the GCC to visit Aladdin themed activations at Volkswagen dealerships from 7th May. Those visiting the activations can take and upload photos with their favourite character backdrops and stand a chance to win cinema tickets for the new release.

Volkswagen will also bring magic to its customer through a personalised Volkswagen Messenger Bot, which will tell participants which Disney character they are most similar to based on a series of simple questions. The bot will also provide the opportunity to win cinema tickets to watch Aladdin so that families taking part will enjoy fun magical adventures together.

“Volkswagen and Disney are two brands firmly associated with creating memorable moments for families – whether that be enjoying a singalong in the car, telling a story from the backseat, or taking a road trip to the cinema to see the latest blockbuster. Our passion is people and that’s why we’re so excited about this collaboration with Disney.” Commented Bruno Gisquet, Marketing Director of Volkswagen Middle East.

The collaboration between Volkswagen and The Walt Disney Company Middle East will also see the automotive brand sharing the Disney magic for two other future movie releases - The Lion King and Frozen 2 later this year.
