Sharjah - Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority (SAIF Zone) was the Chief Guest at the gala dinner of the 5th edition of Offshore Jack Up Middle East Conference and Exhibition. The event was highly anticipated and participated by the industry leaders.  Issues related to exploring and identifying promising opportunities, best ways to improve the performance of companies and offshore rigs industry trends were discussed.

The Offshore Achievement Awards, which was the highlight of the conference, recognizes and celebrates the valuable contributions of individuals and institutions in the offshore jack up rig & liftboat industry. It emphasizes their initiatives, strategies and programs that achieve measurable results. The ceremony was attended by rig owners, designers, equipment manufacturers, shipyards and other professionals in the industry

In his speech, Al Mazrouei focused on the offshore drilling market in the region and the factors driving the growth of this sector, especially in the United Arab Emirates, which is a major center for the marine industry.

Hamriyah port and free zone is the second largest center in the region for marine and petrochemical industries. It has a 14-meter deep water port designed for export of giant vessels for petrochemicals and various goods. It also has a 7-meter deep inner harbor to accommodate small and medium sized ships.
