* Tunisia's state grains agency purchased around 67,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat and 50,000 tonnes of barley to be sourced from optional origins in an international tender which closed on Friday, European traders said

* The wheat involved one 25,000-tonne consignment bought at $225.68 a tonne c&f and one of 17,000 tonnes at $228.57 a tonne c&f, both purchased from trading house Casillo, they said

* Another 25,000 tonnes of wheat was bought at $228.55 a tonne c&f from Dreyfus, traders said

* The barley was bought in two 25,000-tonne consignments at $239.14 and $241.24 a tonne c&f, both from Soufflet, they said

* The tender had sought both wheat and barley for April shipment if sourced from the Black Sea, eastern Europe or western Europe
