Abu Dhabi, UAE - 5 November, 2015

Total, the international energy group, will once again be supporting the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) with a significant presence at this year's event, both as a major exhibitor and through keynote speakers at the conference programme - including Total CEO, Patrick Pouyanne.

Total has supported ADIPEC since its inception in 1984 and is again a Diamond Sponsor of this year's event. Senior executives from Total's global headquarters and operations across MENA will attend and help to set the agenda during the four-day conference. They will take the opportunity to restate Total's historical commitment to the region, its unrivalled presence across the energy value chain and its world-renowned technological strengths.

A dedicated double-deck exhibition stand (Stand A232) in the main atrium of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) will showcase the breadth of Total's activities in Exploration & Production, Refining & Chemicals, Marketing & Services and New Energies.

Total's long standing commitment to the UAE will be featured in a timeline storyboard of our presence in the country, which dates back to 1939. The ongoing evolution of that commitment will be demonstrated by a regular programme of live on-stand presentations, covering Total's range of activities and affiliates in the country today.

In addition to updates on how Total is partnering with the UAE to maximize the benefits of existing oil reserves through Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), visitors to the Total stand can also learn more about our capacity building and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and speak to representatives from Total Marketing Middle East, our lubricants' business, and SunPower, Total's world leading solar energy affiliate.

As well as the on-stand presentations, video screens and a user-friendly touch-screen information point, Total will for the first time at ADIPEC also have the assistance of a full-size interactive robot to welcome people to the stand. Not only can the state-of-the-art robot walk and talk, it can also shake hands, tell jokes and take photos of visitors for uploading onto Twitter.

Patrick Pouyanne, Total CEO, will attend ADIPEC on Tuesday 10 November. He will speak in the CEO Plenary Session 2: "Innovation and Sustainability in a New Energy World - Strategies and Initiatives from the IOCs".  This Session is currently scheduled from 11:00-13:00.

Speaking about Total's presence at ADIPEC 2015, Hatem Nuseibeh, President of Total UAE, said: "Our focus at ADIPEC this year is on Partnership, People and Innovation. Total's 76 year partnership with the UAE was further reinforced this year with the award in January of a 10% participating interest in the 40 year Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations (ADCO) concession."

"Our innovation will be highlighted by such activities as our ground-breaking work on Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) - including in the UAE, where recovery rates of up to 70% have been achieved - and the continued development, through our SunPower affiliate, of the highest efficiency and highest reliability solar systems currently available anywhere in the world."

"And, of course, none of these significant achievements would be possible without the quality, commitment and capabilities of Total's own people, the people in our supply chain and those in the partner organizations, such as ADNOC, with whom we are proud to work."

ADIPEC 2015 takes place at ADNEC from November 9-12.
