Muscat - Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company (Ooredoo Oman) on Monday announced that its major shareholder Ooredoo QPSC has executed a share transfer of its shareholding in Ooredoo Oman.
As part of an internal reorganisation, Ooredoo QPSC executed the transfer of its 55 per cent shareholding in Ooredoo Oman from its fully-owned subsidiary MENA Investcom SPC to its another fully-owned subsidiary Seyoula International Investment WLL, registered in Qatar, according to a disclosure filed by Ooredoo Oman to the Muscat Securities Market (MSM). Both these subsidiaries are ultimately owned by Ooredoo QPSC.
As a result of this share transfer, total trading volume of Ooredoo Oman shares at the MSM on Monday jumped to over 358mn shares with turnover reaching RO135.34mn. Ooredoo Oman shares, however, closed nearly 2 per cent lower on Monday.
Qatar-based Ooredoo QPSC is an international communications company operating across the Middle East, North Africa and Southeast Asia.
