AMMAN — A Jordanian delegation on Tuesday attended the 41st edition of GITEX GLOBAL x Ai Everything, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
The five-day event, which was opened on Sunday, is the region’s most influential tech show that brings up tech companies and startups from more than 100 countries, according to the event’s website.
The delegation included Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Nael Kabariti, Chamber’s ICT representative Haitham Rawajbeh and 30 representatives from Jordanian ICT companies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The aim of the Jordanian delegation’s visit is to keep abreast with new technologies related to the ICT sector, network with the exhibitors to optimise the available opportunities and open new markets, Rawajbeh said.
In a statement reported by Petra, Rawajbeh highlighted the importance of intensifying the Jordanian participation in the specialised exhibitions to promote the achievements of the local ICT companies, especially for the post-pandemic stage.
Besides being a supporter of the economy, the ICT companies are a “fundamental pillar”ofnational security, he added.
