Abu Dhabi: Following the successful launch of the first 5G commercial device in the UAE, Etisalat and Huawei today unveiled Huawei's first commercial 5G-enabled smartphone HUAWEI Mate 20 X (5G) at Etisalat’s ultra-modern Open Innovation Centre in Dubai in the presence of Etisalat and Huawei senior management and the media.
The launch of the HUAWEI Mate 20 X (5G) is the second in the line of 5G devices from leading global smartphone brands, and will be available at Etisalat stores from 12th July. Etisalat began taking pre-orders for the highly anticipated device on 1st July.

Etisalat subscribers can now enjoy the blazing speed of the 5G network across the country up to 1Gbps and lower latency around 1 millisecond. With ultra-high speed and low latency services to the user 5G will enable subscribers to enjoy uninterrupted 4K video streaming, best gaming experience, unleash highly connected technologies blending physical and digital realms from AR and VR to IoT, AI, autonomous vehicles, 3D printing, wearable technology and more.
At around 20 times faster than 4G and with ultra-low latency, 5G service will allow users to stream live 4K resolution video anywhere at any time, with virtually no lag.

The HUAWEI Mate 20 X (5G) comes packed with two chipsets the Balong 5000, the world’s first 7nm 5G multi-mode chipset capable of connecting a wide range of network protocols including 4G, 3G and 2G, and the Kirin 980, Huawei’s fastest chipset yet and the brand’s 7nm top-of-the-line SoC chip. Together, the HUAWEI Mate 20 X (5G) is capable of providing users with Ultra-fast downlink speeds creating a 5G experience like no other. In addition to meeting all the requirements for a stellar 5G connection, the HUAWEI Mate 20 X (5G) comes with an impressive 7.2-inch AMOLED Ultra Large Screen for streaming and gaming, which is also boosted by GPU Turbo 3.0 for a better visuals. The HUAWEI Mate 20 X (5G) also includes a Leica Triple Camera setup complete with a 40MP wide angle camera, 20MP ultra-wide camera and the 8MP telephoto camera for a stunning photography from macro to Ultra-Wide.
Etisalat customers can purchase Huawei Mate 20X device on etisalat.ae/mate20x or by visiting the nearest Etisalat Business Centre or outlet. The standalone price of a Huawei Mate 20X 5G is AED3,523. Customers may opt to purchase the device with flexible Smart Pay plans on a 12, 18, or 24-month contract starting from only AED 153.
Customers purchasing the device with a new or existing prepaid account would be eligible to dial in *056# and receive one of the following special deal of the day offers: 1GB for 3 months, 3GB for 2 months, or 10GB for 1 month.
