The Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF), a leading training and development provider, has signed an agreement with the National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) to offer its top graduates training opportunities at the bank.

Alumni from Bangor University and the University of London, graduating with First Class and Upper Second-Class Honours and found to be in line with NBBs corporate culture, will be offered the opportunity to train in areas of Risk Management, Compliance and Retail Banking amongst other critical functions.

Trainees who successfully complete the training program will have the opportunity to secure full time employment at the Bank.

Dr. Ahmed Al Shaikh, the BIBFs Director said: The BIBF is committed to supporting students beyond their academic journey, by preparing them for their career pursuits and helping them land the opportunities of their dreams. Being the main training hub for the banking and finance sector, the BIBF has extensive links with the industry and strong connections with esteemed banks in the Kingdom such as NBB -, which helps bridge the experience gap and boost the employment prospects of our graduates.

Combining academia with real-world experience is vital to create a well-rounded national workforce, and we look forward to a successful working relationship with NBB to support this process, he added.

Dana Buheji, Group Chief Human Resources & Sustainability Officer at NBB, said: We are pleased to partner with the BIBF in extending such on-the-job training opportunities to Bahraini top graduates. Through those offerings, we aim to enhance their awareness and exposure by allowing them the opportunity to exercise their technical knowledge in a concrete and practical way.

We have chosen to collaborate with BIBF in recognition of the quality of its graduates with the belief that they could potentially contribute to our future talent base.

As part of our Sustainability strategy and objectives, through giving back to our community and in line with our Gold Accreditation by Investors in People, we endorse stakeholder inclusivity, Buheji added.- TradeArabia News Service
