The first phase includes 73 villas as well as marine and infrastructure works, and is set to be completed in the second quarter of 2022, the developer said in a press statement.

The statement said the project's secondary infrastructure, consisting of roadworks, street lighting, the sewage and storm water systems, sewage treatment, irrigation network, telecommunication networks and electrical distribution cables and substations, is 51 percent complete.

Marine works including excavation of canals, laying of foundations, block placing, the building of sundecks, retaining walls, lock gates and pumping stations is 55 percent complete, it said.

Spanning an area of 328,000 square metres, Al Naseem includes more than 300 villas overlooking a 5-kilometre-long water canal, in addition to more than 1,000 gated and non-gated apartments. The community also includes integrated pedestrian-friendly promenade, a 100-berth marina, and a 10,000 sqm waterfront shopping destination.
