Muscat – National Bank of Oman’s (NBO) award-winning mobile app continues to make everyday transactions easier and more convenient. Building on one of its most popular features, customers can make instant local transfers of up to OMR 500 for just 200 baizas, 24 hours 7 days a week with all local banks that support the service. It’s one of a number of enhancements the bank has added to its remittance services, which include introducing transfer receipts for instant sharing, and tap-and-share account information for quicker transactions.
Tariq Atiq, Chief Retail and Digital Banking Officer at NBO said, “Our app is the core of our digital transformation and we’re always seeking more ways to make it even more customer centric. Given the pandemic we know people have relied on it more than ever to carry out their daily transactions, and with our transfer fee, it is not only more affordable, but enhances their overall experience.”
Keen to adopt the latest technologies and stay ahead of the curve, NBO’s digital channels enable customers to manage their money in a way that is tailored to their specific and changing needs. Its easy-to-use mobile app is available around the clock, facilitating a range of everyday tasks to be completed, including opening accounts, paying utility and credit card bills, locating branches and ATMs, applying for products such as the Easy Payment Plan (EPP), and making local and international money transfers.
