Effie awards 2018
Dubai – At the recently staged Effie MENA awards, OMD demonstrated once again its continuous commitment to marketing effectiveness. Its offices in the UAE and Egypt collectively won seven trophies, including one Gold, five Silver and one Bronze. The festival, which celebrates marketing effectiveness in MENA, saw OMD UAE collect six awards, earning it the title of the Most Effective Media Agency Office in 2018.
Several campaigns were particularly successful this year with OMD UAE picking up a Silver award for its work on Sephora’s “Blooming Beauty, #Nawarty” campaign in the Retail – Non-Food category and “Infiniti Dynamic Creative” in the Data Driven/Programmatic category. Two more Silvers were won jointly with FP7 for Babyshop’s “World Without Walls” in the Retail – Non-food category and “Uber Legends” in the Travel, Tourism and Transportation category. “Uber Legends” also won a Gold trophy in the Data Driven/Programmatic category, while “World Without Walls” picked up a Bronze in the Youth Marketing – Children category. OMD Egypt's “Pepsi Points” campaign got a Silver in the Shopper Marketing category.As a result of this performance, OMD MENA was the most awarded media network at this year’s event.
