Al Galala: Al Galala University started to receive its first batch of students applying for the new academic year 2020/2021 by organizing a Students’ orientation week. The orientation week helps to guide the students academically and ensure their full understanding of the new aspects of university life.

Dr. Ashraf Haider Ghaleb, Acting President of Al Galala University, Dr. Tarek Abou Elmaaty, Acting Vice President of the University, and Dr. Muhammad Al-Shennawy, Acting Vice President for International Relations, met with the students to welcome them on board and answer all their inquiries related to their studies.  "Dear students; it is my pleasure to welcome you to the campus of Al Galala University as the first class . I would like to assure you that we are keen to provide all possible means to develop your skills from an academic point of view . Our mission is to qualify you to be future leaders capable of joining the labor market competitively,” said Dr. Ashraf  Ghaleb.

After that ,the students were inducted into the different academic programs by a group of professors.  Consequently ,Dr. Ashraf Haider Ghaleb, President of the University, met with the parents to answer all their questions concerning the future of their children and their academic journey.

In the meantime, the university took all precautionary measures regarding Covid-19 epidemic through coordinating with the Egyptian Red Crescent .The ERC sent a team to provide sterilization materials and preventive masks for all attendees . The team also distributed awareness leaflets to encourage social distancing.

 Al Galala University is one of the private universities that was inaugurated this year in accordance with a presidential decree issued by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The university is located in the city of Al Galala in the Governorate of Suez. The university will accommodate 25,000 students.

The university also includes a teaching hospital as well as a dormitory for students and faculty members, in addition to the transportation service provided for the students as well as the staff members.

The university is divided into fifteen faculties offering more than 65 distinct programs.  Fourteen fields were opened this year, divided into 29 programs in various fields, including Medicine, Media Production, Physical Therapy, Social Sciences and Humanities, Managerial Sciences, Basic Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering Sciences, Architecture, Art and Design, Applied Health Sciences Technology, Dentistry , Nursing Sciences and finally Computer Science and Engineering.
