Egyptian importer tenders to buy 160,000 tonnes raw sugar - traders

HAMBURG - Egypt’s Delta Sugar Company has issued an international tender to buy up to 160,000 tonnes of raw cane sugar to be sourced from optional origins, European traders said on Tuesday.

The deadline for submission of price offers in the tender is Dec. 11, they said. Offers must remain valid up to Dec. 13.

One consignment of 50,000 tonnes and one of 30,000 tonnes were sought for arrival in the second half of January, 2022.

Another consignment of 50,000 tonnes plus one of 30,000 tonnes was sought for arrival in the first half of February, 2022. Offers are sought in dollars a tonne in c&f free out terms.
