997 new COVID-19 cases registered in Bahrain on Sunday

Of the 11,155 active cases, 149 are receiving treatment and 92 in critical condition

Bahrain yesterday registered 997 new Covid-19 cases alongside 1,075 recoveries and six fatalities.

Three Bahraini women, aged 73, 54 and 80, a Bahraini man, 74, an expat man, 37, and an expat woman, 49, died yesterday, taking the total number of deaths to 594.

Of the new cases, 361 were expat workers, 581 contacts of active cases and 55 travel-related.

An additional 1,075 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 152,361. Of the 11,155 active cases, 149 are receiving treatment and 92 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 164,110 cases.

The kingdom has conducted 3,903,112 tests.
