80% of target population in Oman vaccinated with single dose

Oman has recorded zero deaths and 36 new infection cases in the past 24 hours

Since the beginning of national campaign for immunization against Covid-19 infection in the Sultanate, 80 per cent of the total target population has been vaccinated with one dose till September 19.

According to statistics issued by the Ministry of Health, a total of 2,810,262 people have been vaccinated during the period.

Figures from the ministry also showed that Oman has recorded zero deaths and 36 new infection cases due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This is for the third consecutive day that the country has reported zero deaths.

The total number has now reached 303,459 cases, while the number of deaths reported so far stood at 4,093.

The expanded vaccination campaign for the target groups in all governorates continues uninterrupted and vaccination centers witness a good daily turnout.
