The Abu Dhabi Police have launched new call numbers -02999 for Abu Dhabi city and 03999 for Al Ain region, that will be used by officers in the operations room to communicate with the public.

The new service will ease communication as cops talk to the public from the command and control centers, police said in a statement.

Brigadier Nasser Sulaiman Al Maskari, Director of Operations Department at the Central Operations Sector has urged people to respond to these new numbers that are aimed at improving police services towards the general public.

He added that the new service is also in line with efforts of the Government Services Development Committee as they continue to embrace artificial intelligence to provide good services to the community.

Al Maskari noted that the Abu Dhabi Police is keen on using the latest technology and equipment in the command and control centers as the first responder of the communication in accordance with best practices in the field.

The police's command and control centers receive emergency calls, identify the location of the caller and communicate with the responsible department, who immediately take the necessary action and deal with the problem.

The force's trained officers' work around the clock to communicate with members of the community.
