As per the agreement, Jafza will manage all regulatory activities, including licenses and registration, for 96 retailers and brands operating at Gold & Diamond Park under the free zone's rules, according to a press release on Wednesday.
Located in Dubai, Gold & Diamond Park is home to jewellery, gemstones, precious stones, gold, silver, platinum, and high-end personal accessories, with 108 purpose-built manufacturing blocks and 245 offices.
The CEO of Parks and Zones at DP World UAE Region, Ahmad Al Haddad, said: "As the UAE and Dubai prepare for rapid shifts in a post-pandemic business environment, existing companies, and new investors alike will demand new levels of support that takes care of all their licensing, registration, visas, and other regulatory requirements, so they can focus on strategising their business plans with confidence."
The CEO of Emaar Development, Bader Hareb, commented: "Companies now have the option to hold 100% ownership of their business in addition to extended employment visas of three years."
