Saudi's Al-Majmaah gets first cinema, AMC Karam 5

AMC Karam 5 is the first cinema in the governorate. Every auditorium is fully equipped with a massive screen, 4K Barco Laser Projector, and immersive surround sound, in addition to the signature luxe recliner and plush rocker seating throughout.

Following this launch, AMC Cinemas seeks to reach the largest possible number of movie lovers around Saudi Arabia, a goal which is in line with the government plans to diversify entertainment content and provide new experiences to suit the tastes of all the different audiences in several cities and governorates around the Kingdom.

With the opening of AMC Karam 5 in Al-Majmaah, the number of AMC Cinema locations in the Kingdom is now seven — five in Riyadh, and one each in Hafar Al-Batin and Al-Majmaah governorates.

Last month, AMC Cinemas rolled out the “IMAX Experience” at AMC Al-Khair 9 in Al-Makan Mall Riyadh. The IMAX with Laser experience includes a next-generation laser projection system with a 12-channel sound system, which is exclusive to IMAX auditoriums. AMC Al-Khair 9 became the first cinema to offer the IMAX Experience in Riyadh, which will be followed by AMC Hafr Al-Baten 8, and 11 AMC Cinemas outlets across Saudi Arabia expected to offer the IMAX with Laser experience by 2022.
