Sharjah's tallest residential tower is expected to be tendered in the third quarter, according to the project's lead consultant.
 
Mohammed Al-Shurafa, Mimar Architecture and Engineering's Group Vice Chairman and UAE Managing Director told Zawya Projects that that the main tender for the 226-metre, 57-storey residential tower is expected to be issued by end-September.
 
Al-Shurafa said that the project, spread over an area of about 6,000 square metres, would be developed at an investment of $80 million.
 
He declined to name the developer but said construction is expected to start in December 2021 and complete after 36 months.
 
Al-Shurafa said the company is currently providing design, engineering, project management and construction supervision services to $450 million worth of projects across the UAE ranging from a $110 million, 12-building student housing project in Sharjah to a 34-storey residential tower in Dubai and a shopping mall in Abu Dhabi.
