AMMAN - The maximum number of people allowed to enter the Kingdom per day has been increased to 500 at the Jaber and Sheikh Hussein border crossings.

The decision, which came in effect last Friday, overwrote an earlier decision to cap the number of daily entries at the two border crossings at 150, Interior Minister Mazen Faraya said on Saturday.

The minister said that this procedure comes in implementation of Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh’s directives to facilitate movement of passengers through border crossings, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
