June 16th, Dubai: With approximately 83% of the UAE population or 8 million people using WhatsApp, it is inevitable that this social media platform will soon play an important role in buying and selling homes.

Leveraging this opportunity, Property Finder, the MENA region’s initiative-leading real estate portal, has launched WhatsApp Leads, where clients can easily check on the availability and specifications of a property with an agent via this tool even after office hours.

This tool is a highly anticipated feature in the UAE property market. Property Finder is the first property portal in the country offering this unique service. It’s a win-win scenario for both customers and agents.

Reflecting the market demand for WhatsApp Leads, approximately 45,000 listings on Property Finder now have the WhatsApp feature attached to them, within only a few weeks of the product launch. This equates to almost 50% of listings on the Property Finder website.

“With 80% of the UAE's population using WhatsApp, and many users browsing properties late in the evening when calling is not an option, we wanted to make it even easier for our users to contact an agent about a property. We're incredibly proud to be the first major property portal in the UAE to integrate WhatsApp into our service, and we continue to work on having the best-in-class user experience that meets the needs of our users,” says Yi-Wei Ang, Vice-President of Product, Property Finder.

Customers need to no longer depend only on traditional calls or emails to enquire about a home of their choice. This tool enhances agents’ connectivity with customers, especially the younger ones who prefer this instant messaging service.

Often, agents are busy throughout the day with viewings and might be hard to reach via phone call or emails. With a real estate agent available at their fingertips on WhatsApp, customers can now receive more photos, documents, videos and voice notes about the property of their interest and get all their queries answered instantly.
