Ajman – Ajman’s Department of Economic Development received today 4 new ISO certificates, namely ISO 22301 for Business Continuity, ISO 45001 - Occupational Health & Safety, ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System and PAS 99 Integrated Management Systems. Certificates were received by the task force which includes a select of national personnel qualified in excellence and quality and with attendance of leadership.
On this occasion, Ali Eissa Al Nuaimi, Director General of DED said that DED seeks to develop working systems, policies and procedures in line with the best international practices. International ISO Certificates contribute to achieving the strategic goals and objectives and to upgrading corporate performance, a step that reflects conformity with international quality standards.
He indicated that ISO 22301 - Business Continuity guarantees the continuity of DED’s vital operations and the non-disruption of its services provided to customers in all emergency and exceptional cases, while the implementation of ISO 45001 - Health & Occupational Health procures a healthy, safe and happy environment.
He added that DED bears the responsibility for preserving environment and natural resources for next generations through the application of ISO 14001 Environment Management System, while indicating that the implementation of PAS 99 Integrated Management Systems aims to simplify the progress of operational processes and the integration of all requirements and standards of ISO specifications granted to DED and being 7 international approvals in total, which significantly contributes to the rationalization of expenses related to the implementation of all specifications.
Abdullah Ahmad Al-Hamrani, Assistant Director-General for Economic Registration and Control Affairs said DED’s obtainment of integrated management system and business continuity specification supports management operations according to an integrated process system that aims to link DED’s corporate goals to the results thereof in accordance with the best practices from international respect, and serves the internal and external customers in integrated, flexible and improvable manner.
TUV Hesssen Middle east regional partner Eng. Nizar Bashaireh expressed his happiness that the Department of Economic Development – Ajman has received the international ISO certificates for environmental, health and occupational safety and business continuity and integrated management systems, as part of its ongoing leading role to exercise excellence and its obligation towards further competitiveness within the region. Further, Eng. Nizar pointed out the results of the evaluation, which indicated the commitment of the employees and the executive management of the Ajman DED in achieving the goals and results that support the role of the Ajman DED in achieving the leadership vision in Ajman.
