Riyadh –  The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) has announced extending Eid al-Fitr holiday for banks until 9 Shawwal 1439 Hijri date, which corresponds to 23 June.

Banks will resume work starting from 10 Shawwal 1439 Hijri date that copes with 24 June, the Saudi central bank noted.

Eid al-Fitr holiday for banks in Saudi Arabia will start by the end of work on Tuesday, 28 Ramadan, which corresponds to 12 June.

On Wednesday, 6 June, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz has announced extending Eid al-Fitr's holiday for all civil and military employees in the government.
