UAE - In line with the UAE government’s ambitious drive to inoculate all residents against SARS-CoV-2, which causes Covid-19, the Emirates Post Group has also launched a mass in-house vaccination drive for its employees across the emirates. The drive started on January 22.

Abdulla M Alashram, group chief executive officer (CEO) of Emirates Post Group Company, said: “We’re committed to taking all the necessary measures to keep our employees, customers, and communities safe. We’re encouraging our employees to take the vaccine. It’s our national responsibility.”

He told Khaleej Times: “We have 1,000 employees, who are being encouraged to take the vaccine. We aim to make it more accessible for all those who wish to take the jab.”

He added: “The company is working closely with the health authorities to safeguard the health and wellbeing of its workforce.”

Although it’s optional to take the jab, the response has been overwhelming among the employees, the group CEO said.

“The priority is given to front-line workers in the in-house vaccination programme,” he added. Employees of Emirates Post Group were all praise for the UAE’s vaccination programme.
