The new Bahrain International Airport passenger terminal will open in the first quarter of 2020, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed made the announcement as he chaired a meeting of the national committee, tasked by the Crown Prince to undertake preparations for the opening.

The meeting was attended by strategic partners, including the civil aviation affairs, the airport passports and immigration, the customs affairs as well as companies working at the airport and the Bahrain Airport Company.

German Fraport AG Frankfurt Airport Services Worldwide, which is providing BAC with Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer consulting services also attended the meeting.
