Sharjah: The Sharjah Institute for Heritage is gearing up to disclose the cultural agenda of the 18th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days to media. The full programme of the three-week event will be shared at a press conference at the Cultural Heritage Events Centre – West House in Al Mareija area, on Monday, March 15, starting 6:45pm.

The annually-held Sharjah Heritage Days is a unique celebration that turns the spotlight on the customs, traditions and social practices that laid the foundations of Sharjah and the region. The event designs a series of folk shows, cultural programmes, art and craft activities, food stalls, and more, with the aim to encourage UAE’s citizens, residents and visitors of all age groups understand and engage with the region’s rich past.    

Sharjah Heritage Days also showcases the cultural practices of other countries who participate in this vibrant event with unique programmes specially crafted to introduce visitors to their heritage. 

Senior officials who will be in attendance at the press conference include, HE Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, and Chairman of the Higher Committee of Sharjah Heritage Days; Aisha Ghabish, General Coordinator of Sharjah Heritage Days; alongside representatives from the Sharjah Police; Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; and Sharjah Broadcasting Authority.
