Cairo –  Trade exchange between Egypt and France reached $2.6 billion in fiscal year 2017/2018, the Egyptian Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) said.

Egyptian exports to the European country surged by 51.6% year-on-year in the previous fiscal year, according to a statement by Egypt’s Cabinet.

In November, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Egypt stated that French companies had shown interest in the Egyptian fruits and vegetables, aiming to diversify and raise their imports from the North African state.
