Dubai: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised a series of virtual sessions for its employees to increase awareness of its pioneering role in including and empowering people of determination (POD) to support their rights in equal job opportunities at work and in society. This is part of the organisation’s annual plan to promote corporate inclusion and support POD through opportunities at work and in the community. During these sessions, DEWA reviewed its efforts in achieving local and federal strategies for POD. Some 2,313 employees across different divisions attended the sessions and learned about the legal framework for protecting POD in the UAE and at DEWA and key definitions for their inclusion and empowerment.
