Manama: AlMabarrah AlKhalifia has announced signing an agreement with SICO to provide an Accounting and Finance scholarship in The Bangor University graduate program at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF). This agreement comes in line with the Foundation’s efforts to support Bahraini Youth and enhancing available opportunities for them to fulfill their varied academic dreams at top educational institutions across the Kingdom through the Rayaat Scholarship Program. SICO, one of the leading regional asset manager, broker and investment bank, has a growing track-record of achievements stretched over two decades.

The signing ceremony took place on Tuesday 18th February 2020 in AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation in Riffa, in the presence of H.H. Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ebrahim AlKhalifa Vice Chairperson from AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation and Najla Al Shirawi Chief Executive Officer from SICO, as well as other officials from both entities.

Commenting on the occasion, Her Highness Shaikha Zain bint Khalid Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation, said: “We would like to thank SICO for their belief in our vision and providing the necessary support to add this scholarship to our existing Rayaat Scholarship Program offering. We look forward to receiving more support from the private sector in order to enhance our programs and support our new direction to provide scholarships in needed and highly sought-after majors in the labor market in top universities across the Kingdom and abroad, as well as supporting the Foundation’s pursuits in empowering Bahrain’s Youth and allowing them to become main contributors in the Kingdom’s development.”

It is worth mentioning that this is the first time the Rayaat program introduces the scholarship for the undergraduate program in Accounting and Finance at BIBF which will be provided for the academic year 2020-2021, as it will cover all educational and registration fees. Registration for the scholarship will start from March 17th until March 23rd  2020, those who wish to register must obtain an acceptance letter from the university and then fill out the registration form on the Foundation’s website www.mkfbh.org .

The Rayaat Scholarship Program was launched in 2011; it follows a comprehensive approach to the education and personal development of Bahraini Youth by providing them with scholarships at accredited universities in the Kingdom, in addition to other training opportunities in the public and private sectors.
