AMMAN — The Jordan Radio and Television Corporation (JRTV) on Sunday signed an agreement to lease 32 dunums of its lands in favour of the Kingdom Investment Group Company for the purpose of establishing a film studio, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The agreement was signed by Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Radio and Television Corporation Ghaith Tarawneh and General Manager of Kingdom Group Company Lisa Dughmi.

The project, to be implemented within days and for a period of six months, will enable international and local TV production companies to film and shoot in Jordan and attract related investments.

The Kingdom has formed, over the years, “a point of attraction for landscape photography”, especially in the desert areas, Petra, Dead Sea and others, Petra reported.

The studio was designed according to international specifications, for an area of 3,000 square metres, with the possibility of separating it into two studios for an area of 1,500 square metres each.

The project will be implemented in stages in an area close to Queen Alia International Airport due to availability of proper infrastructure and support services, whether logistical or professional, according to Petra.
