Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi University (ADU), an internationally recognized academic institution for quality education and applied research, today announced the launch of nine new bachelor’s and master’s programs for the 2018 semester in line with its sustained commitment to addressing the UAE market demand and equipping younger generations with the required tools and skillsets to progress in promising careers and grow the national economy.

The decision to introduce the new programs came during the first meeting of the ADU Board of Regents for 2018, chaired by His Excellency Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Vice President of ADU’s Board of Regents. The meeting drew the participation of Dr Maitha Al Shamsi, Minister of State, His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director-General of Dubai Health Authority, Dr Nasser Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Security, Justice and Safety Commitee of the Executive Council in Abu Dhabi, Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, Board Chairman of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority,   His Excellency Dr Hadef Al Dhaheri, former UAE Minister of Justice, His Excellency Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Market, His Excellency Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of ADU’s Executive Board, and Qusai Mohammad Al-Ghussain, General Manager of Bin Harmal Group.

The nine new undergraduate and post-graduate programs include three Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degrees with specializations in Business Analysis, Business Sustainability, and International Business, as well as four new Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees with specializations in Risk Management and Insurance, Organizational Excellenceand Quality Management, and Strategic Management. Furthermore, two new Bachelor of Science (BSc) programs with specializations in Biotechnology Engineering and Cyber Security Engineering are also scheduled, as well as a Master of Corporate Communications and Leadership degree.

His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan said: “Abu Dhabi University has earned a prestigious standing among the universities of the region and the world at large. In line with best-in-class international standards, the University has consistently obtained international accreditations for its programs and colleges.”

He added: “Through the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of ADU Board of Regents, Abu Dhabi University has became a world-class academic institution.”

For his part, His Excellency Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of ADU’s Executive Board, expressed his pride at the successful milestones the University achieved during the 2016-2017 academic year. Prominent among these is the launch of ADU’s new campus in Dubai, and the University finding a place on the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings for 2017 among the world’s top 150 universities under 50 years old.
