UAE: In response to the impact of the pandemic on schooling, globally renowned educationalist Amreesh Chandra, also a Freeman of the City of London, is launching Online Learning World (OLW) in the UAE – an AI powered platform which provides live and interactive tutoring for students, especially for supplementing school education in the safe & convenient environment of their homes. The launch of the platform was announced in Dubai, in the presence of the Guest of Honour the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi.

The platform aims to provide live and inclusive learning opportunities for students across subjects including Maths, English, Science, Coding, Language courses including Arabic, Hindi and French, and Masterclasses for wellbeing including fitness, culinary, life skills and short certificate courses. OLW is aligned to the UAE Vision 2021 and is committed to building a knowledge economy, by integrating emerging technologies in their support systems and bringing top learning solutions to students.

OLW breaks down complicated chapters into simple and interesting lesson plans which clarify and enhance concept-based learning as per CBSE & ICSE curriculum, empowering students with increased self-esteem, confidence, and leadership skills. It inspires students to learn effectively by helping them understand the core concepts and building 21st century skills with the help of personalised online tutoring.

It was founded after extensive market research in the UAE, which revealed:

  • The percentage of students taking private classes rose though the grades – and in Grade 12, 37% of all Emirati and 35% of all non-Emirati students sought online learning
  • 67% of all parents found that their children’s overall academic performance improved a lot after private tutoring

Its academic partner is the St Paul’s School in Gorakhpur (India) and affiliates include Project Out of School Children (Commonwealth), Tabbie Math (UK), MBD (India), and GoLearn.Guru (UK).

Speaking about the launch of the Online World Academy, Amreesh Chandra, President of OLW said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of Online World Academy in the UAE. This is a phenomenal platform that empowers the students seeking support to learn complex subjects in a simple and efficient manner. This is also revolutionary because it is on demand – thereby empowering students and parents to select specific and tailored tutoring and plan their learning days.

To ensure we offer top quality education services, we have partnered with prestigious learning institutions including the St Paul’s School in Gorakhpur - India, Tabbie Math and GoLearn.Guru in the UK and is supported by Project Out of School Children, which aims to take quality education to every child and create infrastructure and resources to start a literacy revolution in every corner of the country and ensure every child gets a fair chance at learning.

The Online World Academy is a tech enabled platform that has flattened the classroom walls and brought next generation learning direct to home.”

Sanjay Srivastava, the CEO of Online World Academy said: “Online Learning World is a new age after-school tutoring platform which is dedicated to build 21st century skills in children. The Vision of OLW is to ensure success and wellbeing of each child by supplementing school education through teachers empowered with Artificial Intelligence based teaching & learning platforms.”
